Block spots and group bookings
Where: Operations → Map. Who: whoever creates bookings (owner, manager, cashier) for group bookings; whoever runs the beach operations (check-in and moves permission) for blocks.
From the day map you can select several spots together and, in one go, turn them into one group booking or block them.
Selecting several spots
Section titled “Selecting several spots”- Press Select, then tap the free spots one by one.
- Or drag a rectangle on the map (with the mouse or a finger): every free spot inside it is selected. With two fingers you still pan and zoom the map.
- With keyboard and mouse: Shift-click selects the range from the last chosen spot, Ctrl-click (Cmd on a Mac) adds or removes a spot, even without pressing Select first.
Only spots bookable in the slot shown can be selected; if a colleague books one meanwhile it leaves the selection by itself. The bar at the bottom shows the count and the actions: Group booking, Block, Clear and Exit selection.
Group booking
Section titled “Group booking”- Select the spots and press Group booking.
- The new booking sheet opens with all the spots: choose pack, customer, dates and slot as for a normal booking. The quote is computed from the price list for every spot.
- Create booking.
The result is a single booking with one line per spot: one code, one balance, one manage link for the customer. It is all or nothing: if even one spot is no longer free nothing is created and the panel tells you which one.
Blocking spots
Section titled “Blocking spots”- Select the spots and press Block (for a single spot: Block spot from its sheet).
- Choose the Period, the Slot (full day, morning or afternoon) and optionally the Reason (for example umbrella maintenance).
- Block.
Blocked spots cannot be booked, neither at the desk nor online, and appear grey as Blocked on the map. Blocking several spots is all or nothing. To remove a block open the spot sheet and press Unblock: the block is removed for its whole period.
