Customer credits
Where: Operations → Customers → customer page → Credit movements. Who: granting credit and adjustments needs the permission to issue refunds; using it only needs to be able to record payments.
Credit is an amount the customer can spend at the establishment as a payment method. It accrues automatically when the policy says so (cancellation, bad weather, released and resold pass days) or you grant it by hand.
Balance and movements
Section titled “Balance and movements”- Available credit: what the customer can spend today.
- Expiring: the credit expiring soon, with the date.
- The table lists every movement: Cancellation, Pass release, Bad weather, Manual credit, Goodwill, Use, Expiry, Adjustment, with the linked booking.
The balance is always the sum of the movements and can never go negative, not even when two cashiers use it at the same moment. Expired credit is removed automatically.
Granting credit
Section titled “Granting credit”- Grant credit.
- Choose the Type: Goodwill, Manual credit or Adjustment (in that case Add or Remove).
- Enter the Amount, optionally the Expiry (empty = validity set by the policy) and a Note.
- Grant (or Remove from balance).
Using the credit
Section titled “Using the credit”- From the customer page: Use on a booking, choose the booking with a balance due and the amount (at most the smaller of credit and balance), then Use the credit.
- From a booking: Record payment with the Customer credit method; the panel shows the available credit.
- Customers can use it themselves from the booking’s manage link (Use … of credit for the balance) and when accepting a renewal.
Credit is included in the customer’s data export (GDPR); with anonymisation the amounts stay for the accounts and the notes disappear.
