Multiple registers and Z closing PDF

Where: Configuration → Registers (management), Operations → Cash desk (sessions). Who: owner and manager create and edit registers; whoever runs the cash desk chooses which one to open.

Every establishment has the Main register (Cassa principale), created automatically. If you take payments in several places (entrance, bar, beach rentals) add a register for each: every register has its own session, float, Z closing and totals in the corrispettivi.

Managing registers

New register: enter the Name (for example Bar). The Code is optional: when empty it is derived from the name and cannot be changed afterwards.
Order sets the position in the list and in the selector of the Cash desk page.
To stop using it turn Active off: close its open session first.

The default register is always active and cannot be deleted.
A register with sessions in its history can only be deactivated; only a never-used register can be deleted.
Changes to registers go to the activity log.

Opening a register

On the Cash desk page the Register selector shows every active register with its status (open or closed). Choose the register, enter the float and open the session. There is at most one open session per register, even if two people try to open it at the same instant; different registers can be open together.

Reports per register

In Corrispettivi the Register filter shows only the payments recorded in that register’s sessions. Online payments, which do not go through a session, appear only in the All registers total. The session history shows the register of each session too.

Z closing as PDF

After closing (or during the day, for a check) press Z closing PDF:

the panel prepares the Z summary of the session and opens the browser’s print dialog: choose Save as PDF to get the file, or print it;
from the menu next to it choose A4 PDF or 80 mm receipt (thermal printers), or Open in a new tab.

The document has the establishment header (legal name, address, VAT number when present), the monochrome Arenile logo, the register, who opened and closed it, float, takings by method, cash movements, expected and counted cash with the difference. Totals are computed by the server, the same as on the Cash desk page; payments made in test mode are not included.
