Prices
Where: Configuration → Prices. Who: owners and managers.
In Arenile the price list is not a fixed table but a set of rules: “in high season the front row costs €38”, “weekends +10%”, “7 days for the price of 6”. The pricing engine combines them day by day and always produces the same result for the same data: at the desk, online, in the simulator and in the matrix.
The bar at the top leads to the tools: Price list, Simulator, Matrix, Coverage, Policies. The Season selector picks the price list you are working on.

How a price is computed
Section titled “How a price is computed”for each line (a pack on a spot, zone or quantity): 1. fixed duration? week, fortnight, month, season with a fixed price → that price 2. base each day ONE "Base" rule wins (priority, then the most specific, then the most recent) half day: rule for the slot, otherwise day × half-day factor 3. modifiers surcharges and reductions of the day 4. extras same procedure, × quantity × days or slotson the booking: 5. discounts agreement, then promo code, then automatic discounts 6. rounding final total only (none, to the euro, to 50 cents) 7. deposit from the policyAll amounts include VAT and are computed in integer cents, rounded to the cent (half-even): no floating-point errors. Every booking keeps the full breakdown: if you change the price list, bookings already made do not change.
Price list
Section titled “Price list”The price list has three tabs: Rules, Fixed-duration prices, Codes and agreements.
Rules are grouped by stage:
| Stage | Purpose | Allowed actions |
|---|---|---|
| Base | the starting daily price | Daily price |
| Modifier | surcharges and reductions on the base price | Add amount (negative too, e.g. -2.00), Multiply (e.g. 1.2 = +20%), Percentage off, Amount off |
| Discount | final discounts (codes, agreements, offers) | Percentage off, Amount off (per booking, per line or per day), Free days (“7 days for the price of 6”) |
- Press New rule.
- General: Name, Stage, Applies to (Packs, Extras, All packs, All extras) and the Targets (no selection = all).
- Action and amount, percentage or factor. For amount off choose whether it is per booking, per line or per day.
- Conditions (all optional: the rule applies when every condition set is true): Rate periods, Weekdays, Slots, Channels, Formulas, Zones, Price categories, Holidays (Any day, Holidays only, Except holidays), Date ranges, Minimum days and Maximum days.
- Advanced, if needed: Spot attributes (e.g.
accessible), Customer tags (e.g.regular), Agreements, Minimum/Maximum lead time (days), Minimum/Maximum occupancy (%). - Options: Priority, Stackable, Active.
- Check the Summary, written in plain language, and save.
Example summary: Base for Basic: €38.00 per day, when periods: High season and categories: Front row.
Who wins when several rules apply?
- In the Base stage a single rule wins per day: the highest priority; on a tie, the most specific (more conditions); on a tie, the most recent.
- In the Modifier and Discount stages, Stackable rules add up in priority order; among non-stackable rules only the one most favourable to the customer applies.
Fixed-duration prices
Section titled “Fixed-duration prices”A “package” price for a Week, Fortnight, Month or Season, by pack, price category and (optionally) period: “August week in the front row: €270”, “front row season pass: €2,100”. When the booking’s formula matches, it replaces the sum of the days.
The tab is a Pack × Category grid with a button to add the missing price; Any period means a price valid throughout the season.
Promo codes
Section titled “Promo codes”The customer types the code on the public page (or staff at the desk); upper and lower case are equivalent.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Code | 2–40 characters: letters, digits, - and _. For example BENVENUTO10. |
| Description | For you and your staff. |
| Action and Conditions | The discount and when it applies, as for rules. |
| Validity | Valid from, Valid until. |
| Maximum uses, Uses per customer | Optional limits. |
| Stackable, Active | As for rules. |
Agreements
Section titled “Agreements”Discounts for partners (hotels, associations) or groups of customers. An agreement with a Code works like a promo code; without a code it is applied from the panel only, by choosing it in the booking. Fields: Name, Partner, Notes, action, conditions, validity.
Price simulator
Section titled “Price simulator”The simulator uses the same engine as the desk and the public page, plus the step-by-step breakdown. Enter pack, zone, dates, slot, formula, channel, any extras, promo code, agreement and a Today (simulated) date (to test lead time), then Calculate.
The result shows:
- Total, Due at booking (from the policy’s deposit) and Rounding;
- for each line, each day with Base, Applied rules and Day total, or the fixed price used;
- the Total per day chart and the VAT summary by rate;
- any policy violations (The policy does not allow this booking), with the reason.
Price matrix
Section titled “Price matrix”A pack × category × period table with the daily price computed by the engine for a representative weekday of each period (hover over a cell to see the date). Cells with no price are highlighted. Export CSV to share or print it. The matrix always matches the simulator: they are the same computation.
Coverage check
Section titled “Coverage check”Lists the days of the season on which an active pack has no price for a category, grouped into ranges. The Season calendar colours days by how many combinations are missing; clicking a day filters the ranges that include it. Create rule opens a new rule already filled in to close the gap. When everything is covered: Complete price list.
Season copy
Section titled “Season copy”From the price list, Copy season copies the price list to another year:
- Choose the Target year.
- Choose what to copy: Rate periods, Price rules, Fixed-duration prices, Booking policies.
- Copy season. Dates shift keeping the weekday where it makes sense; the target season is created as a Draft.
- Read the To check section (for example shifted dates) and open the new price list.
