Season rollover
Where: Configuration → Seasons and periods → New season from this one. Who: whoever can configure the establishment (managers and owners).
At the end of the season Arenile prepares the next one by copying the configuration of the season just closed, with the dates moved to the new year. Catalogue, maps and spots do not depend on the season and stay as they are. Right after, you can propose the renewals to the pass holders: the whole cycle happens in the panel, with no database work.
Creating the new season
Section titled “Creating the new season”- 1. Starting season and dates: choose the Source season, the Year of the new season and check Opening and Closing (proposed by moving the dates by one year).
- 2. What to copy: keep on the blocks to copy: Rate periods, Closure days, Price rules, Fixed prices, Policies.
- Calculate preview: the 3. Preview of season box shows how many periods, closures, rules, fixed prices and policies will be created and how many Pass holders to renew there are. Nothing is written yet.
- Check the To check warnings (for example a closure that could not be copied), then Create season and confirm.
The new season starts as a draft: check dates and prices in Seasons and periods and in the price list before activating it.
How dates are moved
Section titled “How dates are moved”- Dates move by one year keeping the weekday where it makes sense (an event on a Saturday stays on a Saturday), while month starts and ends and fixed holidays such as 15 August keep their calendar date.
- A closure that would fall outside the new season, or on a day already closed, is not copied and shows up among the warnings.
- The preview and the creation run exactly the same computation: the preview numbers are what you get.
After the creation
Section titled “After the creation”From the Season created box you can:
- Open the season to review dates and periods;
- Offer renewals to N pass holders: opens the Renewals page with the new campaign already set on the two seasons.
At the bottom of the page, Rollovers already run lists the rollovers done, with what was copied and when.
