What Arenile is

Arenile (arenile.app) is the management system for beach establishments (stabilimenti balneari), lidos, equipped beaches and pools developed by Coste360 SRL. It replaces notebooks, spreadsheets and closed software with a single program the operator installs on their own server: the data stays theirs and nobody takes a commission on bookings.

What it does

Beach map

Editor with the Coste360 map kit (over a hundred illustrations: umbrellas, gazebos, walkways, services, sea condition flag), row generator, operational view of the day with colours and symbols per status, updated in real time on every workstation.

Bookings and cash desk

Bookings from the panel and online, planning calendar, customers, season passes with day releases, cash desk with opening and closing, daily takings for the accountant.

Prices and rules

Pricing engine configurable without code: rate periods, holidays, rows, fixed durations, promo codes, agreements. Policies for lead time, deposit, cancellation and approval. Price simulator, matrix and coverage check.

Public page and payments

A booking page for smartphones, embeddable in the establishment’s website with one line of code, in your colours. Online payments with your Stripe account, confirmation email with QR code and calendar file, customer manage area via magic link.

Guarantees that are not up for debate

No double selling. Two customers can never take the same spot in the same half-day, not even when one books online and the other at the desk at the same instant: a database constraint prevents it, not a check in the program.
Confirmation only comes from the payment. An online booking becomes confirmed only when the payment provider says so with a signed message, never because the customer’s browser “says” it paid.
Verifiable prices. Every booking keeps the full price breakdown and the accepted terms: a refund can always be reconstructed, even if the price list has changed since.
Every change leaves a trace. Every status change of a booking writes the activity log and the matching event in the same operation.
Accessible booking. The public page targets WCAG 2.1 level AA (European Accessibility Act): it works with the keyboard only and with screen readers, with a list of spots as an alternative to the map. Every step is checked by automated tests; details, known limits and a statement template on the Accessibility page.

Arenile is released under the Business Source License 1.1 (SPDX identifier BUSL-1.1): a source available model.

Free for establishments

You can run Arenile in production, free of charge, for the establishments you own or operate directly, including the booking page for your customers.

Readable and modifiable

You can read the code, modify it, test it and contribute to the project (under the CLA).

Not resellable as a service

Offering Arenile to third parties for a fee (hosting, SaaS, installation, support, resale) requires a commercial license from Coste360 SRL: write to info@coste360.it.

Becomes AGPL-3.0 after three years

Each version switches to the GNU AGPL-3.0-or-later license three years after its first public release.
