Devices
Where: Configuration → Devices. Who: every user pairs and revokes their own devices; the owner sees those of the whole team, can pair one for a colleague and revoke any of them.
A paired device is an Arenile app that connects to your Arenile with a personal access, without entering the address and credentials every time: today it is the desktop app in remote mode, later also the mobile app for staff Coming soon.
Pairing a device
Section titled “Pairing a device”- Pair a device.
- Owner only: in Device of choose Myself or the colleague who will use it, then Generate the QR code. The device gets the permissions of that user’s role, in this establishment only.
- The QR code appears with the Pairing code (eight characters, for example
ABCD-EFGH) and the address of your Arenile, with the Expires in countdown. - On the device open the Arenile app and scan the QR code, or type the address and the code by hand (in the desktop app: Pair this PC window, fields Instance address and Pairing code, then Pair).
- The panel shows Device paired: Done.
The code works only once and expires after 5 minutes: if it expires (Code expired) use Generate a new code.
The list of devices
Section titled “The list of devices”For every device you see the name and the system (iPhone / iPad, Android, Windows, macOS, Linux), the User with their role, Last used and the Status:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | The device can access. |
| Fiscal bridge | It is the cash desk PC that forwards fiscal documents to the connected fiscal printer (desktop app in remote mode). |
| Revoked | It can no longer access; it appears only with Show revoked. |
The device you are using is marked This device.
Access security
Section titled “Access security”- Every device has its own access, different from the others: revoking one does not affect the others.
- The access works only for this establishment, even if the user works in several establishments of the same company, and only with the permissions of their role.
- If the user is deactivated or loses their role on the establishment, the device stops working.
- A device not used for 90 days loses its access by itself: it must be paired again.
Revoking a device
Section titled “Revoking a device”- In the device row choose Revoke.
- Confirm: the device loses access immediately. To use it again it must be paired with a new code.
Revoke right away a lost or stolen phone, the PC of a collaborator who no longer works with you or a device you do not recognise.
